Thanks, dude! I am still not sure how I pulled the "fuzzy blur" shot. It was mixed clouds and kind of dark lighting but it turned out sweet! Thanks a bunch! I think this may be my new back ground! LOL! I have IAIS 513 right now.
What I've learned with digital cameras is any setting but Sports setting is going to get motion.. I'm sure you've seen it in my pictures. Blur and motion are ok as long as you have a subject to warrant it. If you are just standing there it can get frustrating. I think a lot of it is the certain setting shutter speed and how you hold the camera when you are shooting.
So how do you guys like seeing all this Heritage power? Fun isn't it? I remember when UP was running the heritage fleet on a consistent basis through here.. Caught a train with what we called "The Three Amigos" leading on video..
They were UP 1982 MOPAC, 1986 Miss Katy <3, and George Bush 4141 for the library inauguration in College Station Texas on A&M campus.
That train was kick ass! I caught the MPRPB with UP 4141 UP 1988 UP 1982 & CP 40-2. It was sharp! Seeing the NS heritage units is HARD! They are the only thing plus NKP 765 steam that I have left to see. Here is hoping they keep sending them my way brother! : )
You guys are really lucky you have eighteen heritage units running around..
Back when UP debuted their heritage fleet which is only six, you were extremely lucky to catch a heritage unit unless you knew it was coming.
When I caught the three locomotives I told you about it was a good year and a half or more since the debut. What NS will do is once the fever has worn off they'll stick each of these units on their respective territories before they spread them out all over the system and beyond.
That's what UP is doing now and NS will not be any different. I expect within the next couple of years or less to be seeing the NS heritage units in UP train consists because UP is huge on getting NS power. They seem to have a lease out contract with them. I see more NS then I do CSX.
